Box Beds

Four young children and a puppy needed space to play uninhibited and their parents needed a beautiful garden.

To keep the planting ‘safe’ and extend places to sit, 2 large hardwood ‘box beds’ were built in the centre of the garden and filled with successional planting.

Plants are allowed to migrate out of the beds and are actively encouraged to self -seed into the surrounding gravel areas.

A paddle stone path was set in for bare feet to comfortably run across and connect the lower more ‘grown up’ area by the house with the children’s play areas towards the back.
